In a significant move to spur innovation and entrepreneurship within Sri Lanka, Hemas, in partnership with Hatch, has unveiled ‘Slingshot,’ a dynamic startup incubator and seed accelerator program. This initiative marks a milestone in the local ecosystem, providing a robust platform for emerging businesses to scale and thrive.

During a compelling pitching session, 25 post-revenue startups presented their business models to an elite panel of judges, showcasing a broad spectrum of ideas set to reshape the market. Of these, eight were chosen to advance to the next phase, promising an exciting trajectory of growth and development.

Among the standout participants was ‘Edus.lk,’ spearheaded by its founder Sugeevan V.S.G., who expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities Slingshot opens up. “Being selected for the Accelerator Program not only validates our vision but also equips us with invaluable resources and mentorship to accelerate our growth,” remarked Sugeevan.
